Before Race Day
Prior to the event:
Register for the event
Ensure you and any spectators have signed the electronic waiver
Remove as many loose items from the car as possible
Make a lunch and refreshment plan
Review the tech sheet and ensure your car is safe - see Documentation
Ensure your helmet meets the requirements - see Competition Rules
Ensure your car has enough fuel for the event
Some recommended items to bring:
Sunscreen
Shade - pop-up tent, umbrella, hat
Rain jacket
Torque wrench
Tire inflator / tire pressure gauge
GoPro
On Race Day
A typical day at the track:
Arrive during the gates open window
Park in the designated parking area and remove all unsecured items from car
Check in with event organizers, povide proof of signing the electronic insurance waiver and obtain a wrist band
Have your car tech inspected
Help set up the event
Safety meeting - all persons on site must attend, including drivers and spectators
Track walk - walk the course to scout the line
Find your position on the timing board - know the 3 cars that are ahead of you in order to maintain the lineup
Parade lap - drive the course at half speed to get the feel of it
Race! - 3 runs per racer
Break for lunch
Second safety meeting - all persons on site must attend, including drivers spectators
Race! - 3 runs per racer
End of day meeting / trophies
Help clean up course / equipment
